- 230V AC electrical – The lift is configured to work with 230 volts instead of the standard 120.
- Power door operators – Opens the gate for a period of time when the lift reaches the landing, then closes it.
- Compression tool kit – Includes the tools needed to compress your lift so it can fit through hallways, doorways, and other narrow spaces.
- Dome and ventilation – Fans keep the lift enclosure at a comfortable temperature.
- Door lock timeout – the lift doors/gates will lock automatically after a period of inactivity.
- Emergency lighting – Lights the lift cab in the event of a power failure.
- External battery backup – Enables you to use the lift when power is lost. When fully charged, you can raise and lower the lift five or more times. The Clarity comes equipped with an internal battery backup.
- Key switches – The lift does not operate unless a key is inserted and turned to the On position.
- Outdoor use package – includes a zinc-rich primer under the powder coat, sealed electrical connections, and all-weather hydraulic fluid.
- Pit switch – turns the power to the lift on and off so the lift can be safely maintained.
- Safety pan – Stops the lift when there is an obstruction underneath it.
- Two-way communication – Enables riders to call a pre-programmed number for assistance.
- Wireless operating station – Enables the lift to be operated by a wireless switch installed on a stanchion.
Frame Color Options
Ascension offers several standard frame colors but we’ll color match any Pantone color. Just send us a swatch or provide a Pantone number and we’ll do the rest!
Standard Metallic Silver
This Pantone Metallic Silver is the default frame color for the Clarity, but is offered as a standard color for the Protégé and Virtuoso upon request.
Standard Black
This Pantone Black is the default frame color on both the Ascension Protégé and Virtuoso but is offered as a standard color for the Clarity upon request.
Custom Colors
Ascension is proud to offer Pantone color matching for situations when the color has to be exactly right. Just give us a swatch or a Pantone number.

Ascension’s custom window options provide one more way of making your lift your own.
Frosted Windows
Frosted windows provide a modern visual appeal with some privacy for the rider. Additionally, the aesthetic may accentuate architectural design.
Etched Windows
Etched windows provide the opportunity to include organization logos, city skylines, or artistic designs.
Clear Windows
The standard window option, clear windows enable easy rider monitoring and assist the lift in blending with the surrounding architecture.
Opaque Windows
Opaque windows provide privacy for the rider and may be used to accentuate architectural design.
Hardware Color Options
The hardware color on each Ascension wheelchair lift may be chosen to suit your style.
Silver
The standard color for all Ascension wheelchair lift hardware, the silver projects class and professionalism.
Black
Sleek and professional, black is an upgrade option for all hardware upon request.
Bronze
Bronze provides a rugged sophistication and high-class flair without being over the top.
Brass
A brass finish shines through to support high-class architecture.
