Yes. Ascension wheelchair lifts provide all applicable operating and safety requirements necessary for compliance with ADA standards.
Every project is unique, so the process begins with our Ascension team. We work with you to understand your application, project goals, site conditions, and code requirements to determine the most appropriate lift model and configuration for your installation.
Then, we coordinate with an authorized installation partner in your area. They review the project, verify site-specific requirements, and provide a complete proposal that includes installation, freight, permitting (if required), and any additional project costs. This approach helps ensure that the full scope of the project is accounted for from the beginning; it also minimizes unexpected costs during installation.
In certain situations, Ascension may sell directly as the manufacturer; however, most projects are completed through our network of authorized installation partners.
To get started, call (520) 881-3993 and ask for Ascension Sales, or submit a quote request. Our team will guide you through the process and connect you with the appropriate installation partner for the next steps.
In general, we recommend testing the lift’s operation and inspecting the lift’s hydraulic fluid level every six months. Consult the Product Manual for your lift model for more details.
In many cases, this is driven by code requirements. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) establishes the baseline for accessibility, but state and local building codes can be more restrictive. As a result, a fixed model may be required for certain projects based on the jurisdiction and the applicable building and accessibility codes. Contact our Ascension team if you aren’t sure which one is right for your project.
All Ascension lifts may be used outdoors. For extended outdoor use, cold climates, and other harsh environments, an optional outdoor package is available. This package includes a zinc-rich primer under the powder coat, sealed electrical connections, and all-weather hydraulic fluid. Learn more about this and other options that are available for your Ascension lift.
Some Ascension models can be used with full height doors. Contact us and our team of construction and accessibility specialists can talk through the details of your project.
Each Ascension lift is customized for its location and environment. The drawings we provide here represent standard configurations and will not reflect the specific needs of your project. For project-specific drawings, request a quote.
Ascension wheelchair lifts are primarily designed and engineered to meet the demands of commercial and public access applications. However, our lifts can also be an excellent solution for certain residential projects, depending on the installation requirements and local building codes. Consult with our team to determine whether an Ascension lift is the right fit for your home project.
Lead times are based on our current production schedule and are subject to change based on demand. The typical lead time is approximately 10 weeks.
Because every lift is built to meet the specific needs of the project, custom configurations or specialized options may extend the production schedule. The additional time required depends on the complexity and scope of the customization.
For the most accurate lead time, please contact our sales team, and we will provide the current production schedule for your specific lift configuration.
