Ascension proudly sponsors a free continuing education course for architects, titled “Vertical Lift Innovations.” This hour-long course is designed to keep practicing architects up-to-date on accessibility laws and the benefits of specifying Vertical Platform Lifts (VPLs) to facilitate accessibility. Why It Matters
In most states, architects are required to accumulate CEUs in order to maintain their license. However, the subject matter as well as the number of CEU hours an architect must complete varies from state to state. In addition, any organization that an architect is a member of, such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA) may also have additional CEU requirements.
Requiring licensed architects to complete CEU courses ensures that each architect is keeping informed of the latest information regarding all aspects of their industry. Accordingly, there are several ways that an architect might meet their requirements, including:
